What materials do you use in the restoration of your furniture?

As far as is possible we use British made, naturally sourced, ethically produced materials when reviving and repairing our furniture. More information on how we do this can be found here.

How can I tell if it’ll fit?

­All our items are listed with full dimensions, so please check not only the room for which your piece is intended, but also access. If you have any concerns about fitting your items through doors, up staircases or in and out of lifts, please get in touch via e-mail at

Do you have a showroom?

­We are eagerly awaiting the keys to a new workshop and studio in Warkton, Northamptonshire. We'll let you know as soon as you can come and find us!


What payment options are accepted?

­We accept all major UK credit and debit cards via the checkout function on our website. Our website also has an option to use PayPal express checkout too. We can also take payment over the phone. Please get in touch via e-mail at to discuss.

Can I cancel my order?

­If your item has not yet left our workshop, you may be able to cancel your order. Please e-mail us at if you would like to cancel an existing order.

Delivery & Returns

How much will delivery cost me?

Delivery costs are calculated at checkout based on the size of the item you are buying. Small items are delivered nationwide for £50, medium items for £70 and large items for £100. If you buy more than one item, only the largest delivery cost will be applied. Alternatively, collection can be arranged from our workshop (based in NN16) for free if you can arrange your own means of transport.

When will my item be delivered?

Within 14 days of purchase. We try to ensure that our drivers make the most efficient, environmentally friendly journeys, so delivery times depend on when vans are heading to your part of the country. We will be in touch within 48 hours of purchase to make arrangements.

How will my item be delivered?

To the ground floor of UK mainland addresses. Please let us know if you require assistance moving your item up additional floors or flights of stairs.

Do you deliver to Europe?

­In some circumstances we can make arrangements to deliver to Europe. Please get in touch at if you would like to discuss options.

What packaging do you use?

­Every PearTree item leaves our workshop wrapped by our professional handlers in furniture removal blankets, before being safely secured for transit. Upon arrival at your home the blankets are removed and returned to PearTree HQ for use over and over again. We are committed to using absolutely zero single-use packaging materials.

I’ve got a problem with my item, how can you help?

­If you are unhappy with an item for any reason, it can be returned or exchanged provided it is returned in the condition in which it was received. If you wish to return your item for either a full refund or a PearTree credit note please get in touch via within 14 days of delivery. Should you have an item to return, please note that you will be responsible for returning it to us in the condition in which it was received.
Returns of faulty items will only be accepted if the item was faulty when received by you. We take great care to ensure that all our furniture leaves our workshop in the best possible condition. This condition is recorded on the webpage detailing each item when it is available for sale, and again on your confirmation of purchase e-mail, so please check here if you are unsure as to what to expect. How sustainable are the methods and materials used in your restoration?

The substances we use in our restoration – turpentines, waxes, polishes, varnishes – are mostly made in Britain and derived from natural, sustainable sources. We scrutinise our (mostly very short) supply chains to ensure that the highest standards of environmental and social welfare are employed.

Do you offset carbon emissions associated with delivery?

We do. All emissions associated with not only the delivery, but every other aspect of our operations are mitigated and fully offset.

What is your buyback scheme all about?

Keeping furniture out of landfill and an effective lifetime guarantee on our products. We believe in rejuvenation as a crucial antidote to throwaway consumer culture. That’s why we developed our buyback scheme – we want to revive and recycle all PearTree items as and when you need us to. Not only is our furniture used and loved time and time again, but in this way we can conserve natural resources by reusing existing materials and also reduce the burden on global supply chains of shipping parts to where they are manufactured.
